Fexco has been awarded the EcoMerit Environmental Certification award in recognition of their commitment to ongoing environmental improvement at their Langford Street facility in Killorglin, Co. Kerry.
They join more than 100 EcoMerit certified sites across Ireland and have the distinction of being the very first organisation in County Kerry to achieve this award. The Fexco EcoMerit Program has reduced waste, carbon footprint, energy costs and consumption. Fexco will continue to identify sustainability and energy efficiency opportunities at all of our facilities and EcoMerit will be an important benchmark for the organisation.
On receiving the EcoMerit Certification, Stephen O’Sullivan, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility said:
“We are delighted to have become EcoMerit Certified and are looking forward to using the programme to help us meet our environmental sustainability goals. As an organisation we are committed to continuously improving our environmental performance and EcoMerit provides us with a means of identifying improvement opportunities and then measuring the results of our efforts.
The EcoMerit Certificate is valid for three years subject to annual surveillance of Fexco’s commitment to meet the criteria of the EcoMerit Programme.
