Financial technology company Fexco will deliver presentations at PASC (Payment Acceptance and Security Conference) 2018 on 23rd/24th May 2018 at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales.
Hosted by WPM Education, PASC is the premier annual event for the higher education sector and will focus on 3 key themes: Payment Acceptance (including the opportunities brought about by PSD2), Payment Security and GDPR Compliance.
Representing Fexco will be Ian Green (Head of UK and Ireland, DCC), Colin Harmer (Key Account Manager, DCC), John Lynch (ERP Specialist, Fexco Corporate Payments) and Anne Hay (Business Development Manager, Fexco Corporate Payments).
The Fexco team will be located at Stand 20 in the Canaerfon Suite. On Thursday the 24th May at 2.25pm Ian Green and John Lynch will be speaking about Managing and Maximising Payments in Higher Education.
Ian Green will discuss how Fexco’s Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) solution allows international students the choice to pay for their education fees in their own currency at the time of payment. This includes the ability to choose to have DCC applied to future payments where fees are spread across multiple scheduled payments.
In addition, the educational institution benefits from a new income stream from the margin applied to the transaction which replaces the margin normally applied by the card issuing bank. DCC is a service already adopted by many universities which offers an enhanced and valued service to international students:
John Lynch will present Fexco’s Accounts Payable solution which reduces risk, manages regulatory compliance and keeps outgoing payment costs lower due to a more streamlined, automated process.
When finance functions at UK universities simply focus on getting better exchange rates and lower fees for outgoing payments, they often overlook the time and money that could be saved by having a more efficient payments process:
The conference provides a key networking opportunity where Fexco representatives can discuss industry news, matters, advancements and opportunities with partners from across the globe.
